It's made of thin bamboo stick and paper. Odawara used to be famous as
Odawara chochin. Travelers dropped by Odawara and bought chochins to pass
over Hakone mountains. | | | There used to be a barrier called Sekisyo in Hakone. Hakone was the most
important place to guard Edo metropolis. It was very hard to pass over
Hakone mountains in edo era when train or car didn't exist. Chochin was
