Inazo Nitobe is one of Japanese great men who created modern Japan. Born
in the end of Edo era, he was a man with Japanese traditional virtue and
international scope. He contributed to make Japan open to the world and
later became executive office leader of the League of Nations. His book
"Bushido" made Japanese samurai spirit known in the world. Without
a chonmage and sword, he was a man who had true Japanese Samurai spirit.
